Do. Or do not. There is no try.

Aoi tries out the new DDII-H-04B / Paper/Outspread Hands (Large Ver.)

Me: Hey Aoi, how's it ...
Aoi: You are getting sleepy.

Me: going?
...

*Thunk*
Me: zzzzzzzz...

Hmm, that worked a lot better than I expected.  Perhaps simple changes in hand gestures can have a dramatic effect in how I can channel and focus the Force.  I should do more experiments...when he wakes up.

So many... Moko chans?

Celine: Hey you!  Time to wake up! *taps on box*

Celine: Let's get you out of there.

 Moko-chan: mmph!  mmmph! mmmmmmmph!

Moko-chan: I can breathe now!  It was so hard holding my breath for a whole week!

Moko-chan: HEATHER!!!!
 Celine: huh?

Moko-chan: What took you so long?  How could you forget about me, Heather?

Celine: Umm. I'm not Heather, I'm Celine.  I came at about the same time you did.  I was told that it was time to wake you up, that's all.

Moko-chan: Oh,I see.  I kept having these dreams where someone named Heather woke me up.  I couldn't make out the face, but yeah, I guess it wasn't you.  She seemed taller.  I didn't know I had a twin.

Celine: Oh, that's cool.   I kept having nightmares about some secret lab with computers that can think and were trying to exterminate everyone!

Moko-chan: Oh wow, that's intense.

 NanaActually, I'm Heather.
Moko-chan: Huh?  Wait... Why do you look like me too?

 Lala: No, I'm Heather.

Lala: You're both wrong!  I'm the real Heather!
Moko-chan: But.. I don't understand.  There are three Heathers?  I mean there's three of me?  But that can't be.  I'm so confused!  Why does everyone look like me?

Moko-chan: I'm getting dizzy...  *faints*
Celine: You guys are so mean!
Lala/Lala/Nana: Tee hee hee

Aoi's new droid, part 2

Aoi:  The assembly is finally done.  Last propeller installed and tightened.  What's next?
Me: Next, we program his main control and feedback routines.

Aoi:  OK, I'll program the quadcopter mode and enable the accelerometer and GPS modules.
I'm uploading the program now.
Me: You're pretty good at this.
Aoi: Of course, all Jedi are good with computers and androids.

Aoi: Look!  The motor is turning!
Me: Alright!  good job Aoi!

Aoi: It's time to install your R2 unit.
Me: Hmm...it looks like that R2 is a little too tall, the propellers will hit it.

Aoi: No problem, I'll just install the R2 unit's AI module.  That should be enough to control all onboard systems.

Aoi: There, you're all done.  I shall call you RS-232.  Shall we go out and take you for a test flight?
RS-232:  *beep*

To be continued...

Mad Scientist Journal Entry #2

5/29/2013

It's totally not fair that the lab next door gets enough funding to buy 15 slightly used but still very nice lab benches at around $900 each and brand new ESD chairs, while all I get in my lab are folding tables.  Too bad the benches are too heavy to carry to my own lab, otherwise, I would have tried to "misplace" a few of these.

I was able to sneak out one of the nice new chairs for use in my lab this morning while no one was around to see me.   There is nothing like a new chair for the long software programming sessions.  The wheels roll very smoothly on the floor, for those times when walking is too troublesome.

Here I have installed a simple but effective anti-theft device to make sure that the chair does indeed stay in my lab.  hehehehe

I choose you!

Ruuko:   I choose you!  and you, and you, and you, and you....
Madoka:  Umm... what's this all about?
Miki:  I don't really know, but from now on everyone will refer to me as "The Chosen One"  hehehe

Mad Scientist Journal Entry #1

5/17/2013

Today, they have given me my own lab, where I can continue my work undisturbed.  The previous one had too many people using it as a shortcut to the other side of the company; changing the flow of electrons, and ruining the intense concentration I needed to be able to progress on this project.  They would also bump into my cheap tables, and cause errors in my experiments.

The new lab is smaller, but it is all mine, and will have security codes on both access points, which will be known only to a few people.  I expect many hours of solitude while I ponder the mysteries of the universe.

Funding is scarce; I must execute the create and sell doll hats for lots of money plan in order to continue my operations.  These folding tables must suffice for now; ESD lab benches are too costly.

The creation of Skynet will not be stopped!  MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

This hat is mine!

DSC_1707_01
Ruuko:  You want this hat?  Why?
Me:  I made a new one that you can have instead.

Ruuko: But, I like this hat!  I don't want a new one.
Me:  That one is lopsided, and has snarled threads showing on the side.  I made a better one.
Ruuko: That's because it has character!  It's cute!

Ruuko: Anyway, you can't have this first edition super rare one of a kind hat, OK?
You can give the mass produced one away instead.
This hat just needs one more thing to be perfect to me.
Me:  Fine, fine...what does it need?
